Scorpions
I was organizing the garage at the Blessman house the other day (it's where they keep all their eyeglass inventory) and I uncovered a scorpion. He wasn't that big but still...not something you run across in Iowa. My two roommates tell me they are endangered and you can't kill them. I had a hard time just getting close enough to take a picture, let alone kill it. It was brown and gray rather than the big black ones I've seen in exhibits.

THERE ARE SCORPIONS? I was scared when they talked about snakes at last nights meeting, but they made no mention of scorpions. On the list of "Things I do not like," snakes are high, but scorpions might just be a step higher. I'll never be able to sleep when I'm there. PS- the garage looks great, want to do mine when you get home?
ReplyDeleteLol, Mark! Just wait...there are so many bugs here you'll be screaming like a girl:) Although you'll be here in July when it's winter so maybe it won't be so bad. Snakes freak me out mainly because they have deadly ones here so I'm constantly on the lookout for them. My garage cleaning rate is pretty high back in the States but for you I'll give you a good deal.
